NPP Journey
written on Saturday, March 15, 2014 @ 11:10 PM ✈
Its been a long time since I've posted huh?
As many of you have known, I have come to an end of my NPP Journey.
I still remember how it was last year, when I received my DPA results and realised that I had to start school earlier. It wasn't exactly something I was looking forward to, but now I don't regret it at all.
Reminiscing the first day of NPP, I've realised how far I've come.
Finding myself together with all types of strangers from all over Singapore, in an awkward position with so many people to make friends with.
Who knew that 6 weeks would pass by so quickly, and I could bond with my NPP mates just like that?
Wishing to be friends is quick work, but friendship is a slow ripening fruit.
Like I said in my earlier post, wishing to make friends is one thing, but to step up and make friends is another. Although at first it may be hard, when friendship ripens, you'll find yourself in a blissful position.
It's sad that after bonding with my NPP mates, we have to separate so soon.
But I know, these are the friends that I will remember for my whole three years.
Indeed, this will be the best period I have in poly.
It was the time where I could make friends freely, go out as much as I wanted, and explored the school and experience poly life in a new light.
So lets see how the journey went, shall we?
| My first family during NPP camp, Hashtag. |
| Second day of school where I joined Wedgie Team. I remember how some of them didn't know who I was and how awkward it was for me at first! I felt like I was throwing myself into a group and I wasn't sure if it was going to work out. |
| Steamboat at Perrie's House! |
| Dancesport with the team. They have amazing editing skills, don't they? |
| Ice skating & celebrating JJ's birthday. |
| Singapore's really really free market. |
| Self Proclaimed Retro Day (Fell for Joey's and Kenneth's prank day, it wasn't actually retro day in NP but we believed them.) |
| Working on our very first presentation in poly life for mind works! I never thought that working in a group would have been so much fun <3 |
| Presenting for mind works! |
| Tadah~ Formal Wear! |
| Our last Sports and Wellness session! Dancesport has been such a blast, really! I remember the first time I had to dance so closely with a guy, I was so nervous! Haha but after a while I got used to it and enjoyed dancing even more~ |
| Sonia's Birthday! |
| This is what I mean go out as much as we want! I think I will miss all the eating out with the team ): |
Pottery Session that we had to plan for Service Learning and these guys turned up to support ^^
| T07 at malaysia trip! Surprisingly, I managed to bond with the class more than during our lessons! I got to talk to those that I didn't really make the effort to previously, and I really regret not doing that because they are all such nice and amazing people! They have made lessons so fun and even though they have polluted my mind, I want to thank them from the bottom of my heart and wish them success in their respective courses :) |
| Fancy some outdoors yoga? |
| Team Wedgie Jackets that we brought to the Malaysia Camp! |
| The team, full strength on Graduation Day! |
| The girl who has been with me for 4 years and is going to be with me for the next 3 years <3 |
| So honoured to have the chance to present for Service Learning on behalf of T07 on stage. |
| And I even got to dance in front of my NPP mates! It was so sweet when they all cheered for me ^^ |
And so, I have graduated from NPP. (Its quite funny cause I haven't even started poly officially!)
I've learn a lot from NPP: How to adapt to changes, how to make the right friends, how to be more self-motivated in learning, how to be more professional, how to overcome my fears, how to be more confident... you get the idea.
And I'm even more excited for poly life.
I get to skip modules.
I already have friends.
I know my way in NP.
I'm sick of some of the food already.
I know how lecturers work.
I have a headstart.
I am so ready.
