"Aussie Roadtrip"

For the past few days, Singapore had been raining non-stop.
But on the day where we go out for a little roadtrip, the sun is shining so bad.
Anyways, met up with my ms clique for our "Aussie Roadtrip".
The reason why we say we're in Australia is because the places we went to really didn't look like Singapore!
Its amazing how in the bustling small city of Singapore, there can be places full of nature or vintage, which is a huge contrast to the busy roads.
In these places, people aren't rushing off to anywhere.
Instead, everything seems to slow down.
People are actually appreciating the things around.
Bukit Timah Saddle Club
Whenever people go travelling, they usually go to the furthest places first.
Thus, we decided to go to "outskirts"of Singapore first.
For what seemed like forever, we walked under the scorching sun till we finally got to our destination! :)
(But seriously we were the only losers walking whereas everyone had cars and were chilling while they drove heartlessly past us)
51 Fairways Drive
Singapore 286965 Bukit Timah Saddle Club
We had to wait for our turn for about half an hour though! (can't help it, atas cafes are sure to have long waits)
The stupid thing was, the cafe itself had no aircon.
But the toilets had aircon.
The long wait was honestly worth it.
Even though we ordered only one dish, it was soooooo good!! (and expensive)
You really have to try it out for yourself to understand the five star reviews of the food at Rider's Cafe.
After all, we were at a saddle club. Which meant, horseys! ☜(⌒▽⌒)☞
Because venessa used to ride horses, she brought us round like a tour guide!
And I learnt a lot about horses that day :)
But because horseriding is a dangerous and expensive sport, not many people know or are interested in it.
For me, I would just like a chance to ride on a horse one time and let it stroll around! (slowly, not galloping or I will die)
Besides the horses, there was also amazing scenery.
Open plains, big trees, green fields.
Next up, get ready to get spammed by photos of me!
Credits to the ever amazing Venessa.
Carpenter and CookEven the exterior of it looks so nice right? (*´▽`*)The interior looks so vintage and pretty with furniture on sale as well! It was hard to take a photo since there were a lot of people inside though! I'll leave it to you guys to go down and see the interior for yourselves (^v^)
19 Lorong Kilat #01-06 Singapore 598120
I ordered a desert called Banoffee.
It has cocoa power covering its exterior like tiramisu, but on the inside, it has banana, toffee, caramel and a biscuit bottom!
Wished I could order more, but it was pricy ):
Alfero Artisan Gelato
Down the road was a gelato shop, thus we decided to try out some! :)
However, no gelato beats the ones I had when I went to italy last year~
Caldecott Horse StableThe last stop of the day was another horse stable! (I'm not exactly sure where it was, we just followed venessa!)The horses here were much bigger and friendlier! Plus we could just walked around as we wanted since venessa knows the people there! :)
After the long day, I was feeling really sticky and gross >< The thing I hate most is being dirty! Nevertheless, I had a fun time exploring parts of Singapore that I've never been to! I guess Singapore isn't that small after all :) There really is more to Singapore than the city. I will be making more adventures soon, so stay tuned! ♥ 0 comment[s] | back to top |
