Red Camp 10

19-21 November, Ngee Ann Polytechnic
Day 1
We were finally returning to Ngee Ann Polytechnic, the place we were all familiar with.
The place where we took our exams, toured around, and had our meals whenever we traveled down.
But going there this time was different, it was for red camp!
We were already looking forward to red camp for a long time.
Not knowing what to expect, we awkwardly made our way to the convention center, only to be welcomed by really wayyyyyyyy too hyper SLs and an insane volume of cheers.

Anyway so I was in Ninjas (the blue tribe) and i swear, we had the hottest guy student leaders (SLs)!!! Now I know why people say poly is where all the cute guys are at.
Anyway the first day is pretty short and not so significant because I had to leave early to get ready for prom! All we did was visit the school of life sciences and chemical technology and the school of health sciences! It was pretty cool, like there was this demonstration using liquid nitrogen where it froze stuff and made it like brittle and all!
Day 2
Everyone knows that by day 2 of a camp, everyone starts to get hyper even though day 1 everyone was super dead. I had a lot more fun today, as we got to know a new SL! He is none other than the super dorky but cute and nice Sam!! Since my friends and I are a very crazy and noisy bunch, I'm really glad he stuck with us and could bear our nonsense!! :)

So then we visited the school of engineering, where we had to do a short project to make a fan that would generate the most volts to power up lights to move a solar car. (hahaha our group's car moved the really little, like one of the worst groups) Nevertheless, we had fun making a 6 panel fan out of styrofoam using hot wire cutters!!

The next school we visited was the school of infocomm technology! It was really cool, watching the animation clips! We also got a chance to actually draw stuff but since mine was pretty ugly I threw it away :P But anyway we were in this art room full of like pictures of naked sculptures haha!! That place was like a place for crazy artists.
Next, we had CCA fiesta where I got to try lion dance, basket ball on wheelchairs, and silat (malay martial arts)! They were all really cool~ Np has many interesting CCAs! But of course, I already know what CCA i wanna join, which is NRA! :))
At the end of the day, we had KFC for dinner! ^^
After that was mass dance, where I paired up with Sam!! (bcos if not i'll have to find another guy anyway) and it was really fun! Because I missed day 1's teaching of the mass dance, I was being clueless and bumping into the SLs on my left and right :P Also, as it was my first time dancing with a guy, to say I wasn't nervous or shy would be a lie!! But Sam was really funny to dance with because even though he can't dance, he enjoys it!! I think other SLs teased him for dancing with me, but he still remained really nice to the end <3
Day 3
Awwww, the last day already! Finally wearing the ninja shirt made me feel very attached to the camp :)

Today we finally went to the school of film of media studies!! Wheee! :) The place we had all been waiting to go to, and the place I will call my school very soon!! First of all, we were greeted by a familar senior, Radiant, that took us first to the filming room!! I had come into the room before, but it was upgraded now and looked wayyyyy cool!

Next, we went to the green screen studio and I finally found out how hard 3D animation is. Hats off to all 3D animators.
Last but not least, we went to check our mass communication!! (my course wheehee)
We got to see another senior, Melanie, who hosted the talk! They had a quiz on DJ voices, and me and my friends won all 3 rounds!! Haha and i won a $5 capitaland voucher ^^
Next stop, the school of humanities and social sciences! We were finally reunited with Sam!! (we followed a different sub tribe in FMS)
We had a lot of fun there because we got to play games such as mirror mirror and taboo!
Taboo was really fun when audrey went up to guess and me and venessa were shouting and acting out the words for her!
There was one word which was "relationship" and we started shouting "WE ARE IN A" and hugged each other and audrey went like "GIRL'S SCHOOL?!?!"
HAHAHA! And the host was like "this is a very fun group". Maybe she meant to say crazy.

Time really passes fast when you're having fun.
Suddenly, it was already camp finale. It was AWESOMEEEEE. Really.
There were celebrities coming down, such as Michelle Chong, performances from Jean of the Final 1, and Jack and Ray, and even an acapella group!
All the songs were great to sing along and groove to~
Then, the most anticipated SL dances!!
They even did it twice.
Awww they must have been so tired!
All the dances were damn good! ^^

At the end of the finale, the SLs were all crying! ):
Sam told us it was because it was that they had been together for 2 months so they feel very emotionally attached!
Anyway, that also made up my mind to become an SL too next year! :)
After camp finale, it was our last moments together ):
We had pizza hut for dinner though!
Sat together on the floor for the last time at red camp.
Next up, just photos with some SLs :)
At the end of the camp, everyone was really attached to the camp and didn't bear to leave... including me ):
Let me tell you guys a secret! I even cried when leaving cause I saw the SLs crying and even Sammy being sad so I suddenly teared up )':
Red Camp had honestly been the best camp i've been to :)
its really amazing, how people of different schools can come together and become bonded.
All the SLs were also so amazing and friendly that warmed my heart.
The cheers, up to now, are faithfully stuck in my head.
Though my voice sounds like a man's right now, I don't regret screaming my lungs out during the camp at all.
Because of red camp, my decision to come to ngee ann has once again been confirmed.
Early, my decision was swaying and I was feeling worried about going to poly.
But right now, I know my mind is made up.
I want to come to ngee an poly.
And I want to become an SL next year as well.
